Ring Segment

Ric Flair is joined in the ring by AJ Styles and Kazarian. He says AJ is the face of TNA and Kazarian is a star, and that they are the first two members of Fourtune. He continues to put them over as Desmond Wolfe comes out and interrupts, and he says the English don’t get any respect from Americans. He says he should be getting all the credit and he should be in Fourtune after he helped them at Victory Road. Wolfe argues with Flair and Flair tells him not to touch him, and they all bail from the ring when Abyss comes out to the ring.

New AJ Styles Interview
Filed in: A.J. Styles. Author: Alex.

The following is an excerpt from a recent interview with AJ Styles from The Miami Herald:

It was 2001, and A.J. Styles received what was his biggest opportunity to date working for World Championship Wrestling.

Unfortunately for the up-and-comer, WCW was in its last days before World Wrestling Entertainment purchased it. More than a year after seeing the end of one company, Styles started with another in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

The man billed from Gainesville, Ga. found things happen for a reason. He has won countless championships and remains one of the main faces of TNA, which has evolved into a worldwide entity.

On top of that, Styles was aligned with the legendary Ric Flair.

“As Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff were coming in was around the time they were thinking of putting me with Ric Flair. I was on board,” Styles said. “To work with the Nature Boy Ric Flair, it would be stupid not to take that chance.”

TNA Execs Make Surprise Appearance, TNA’s Backstage Morale
Filed in: TNA News. Author: Alex.

- The Wrestling Observer is reporting that TNA executives showed up unannounced to the recent Dayton, OH TNA house show event and were said to be blown away by how different the TV tapings are compared to the live house show events.

- The Wrestling Observer also reported that TNA locker room morale is said to be at an all-time low right now, and it was especially down at the last set of Impact tapings and during the Slammiversary PPV. One of the main reasons why is because when Dixie Carter makes statements like “an announcement is coming that will change TNA forever,” the talent in the locker room feel like they’re being worked and kayfabed as none of them have any idea what’s going on.
